Chemical Equipment Labs was started in 1979 in Richmond, Virginia and has expanded up the east coast of the United States to Pennsylvania.

The company primarily specialized in the commercial and industrial water treatment field. This is a chemical process that is introduced into industrial boiler, cooling towers and chillers. The program uses water softeners, filters, acid neutralizers, carbon filters, R O systems and other means of water purification in conjunction with the chemicals to prevent scale and corrosion. Thus protecting and prolonging the life of the equipment and systems.

In 1991, Chemical Equipment Labs entered into industrial chemical distribution. Chemical Equipment Labs developed markets for Acids, Polymers, Caustics and Chlorine to the industrial, wastewater and water purification end user and re-seller. We supply these products in Bulk and Non-Bulk packaging.

In late 1991, Chemical Equipment Labs became a master distributor of Highway Rock Salt, Magnesium Chloride, Calcium Chloride, Potassium Chloride and Urea. The products may be purchased in pellet or flake granular with the exception of the highway rock salt. Complimenting the de-icing division is the Water conditioning salt that varies from coarse solar salt to food grade and animal feeds.

In 1998, Chemical Equipment Labs opened a new division to supply the retail and commercial swimming pool & Spa industry with Sodium Hypochlorite, Hydrochloric Acid, Bromine and Diatomaceous earth filter aid. These products are supplied in 1 gallon, 5 gallon, bulk and non-bulk packaging under our private label.

Chemical Equipment Labs is unique; due to the company’s history and how Chemical Equipment Labs developed, we enjoy a wide customer base. Chemical Equipment Labs supplies finished product to industrial distributors, retail re-sellers, end users, private companies, chain stores and sports stadiums. Chemical Equipment Labs provides both Solar Salt and De-Icing salt in Bulk and we take care of the logistics to see that your products arrives on time every time.

Chemical Equipment Labs imports salt worldwide. Salts are deep mined, solar evaporated or surface evaporated from brine wells.
